1924 Vintage Press Photo.Raquel Meller, the tragedienne from Spain who will make her first bow to America in the big continental revue called \"The Rue de la Paix,\" which the Shuberts will present to New York on the 1st of November with Grock, the famous Swiss clown, Kamran Tooshevs, Russian midgets, Jean Nash, the famous Patou mannequins, Maurice and Hughes, and chorus girls from all nations surrounding her.Francisca Romana Marqués López, better known as Raquel Meller, was a Spanish diseuse, cuplé, and tonadilla singer and actress. She was an international star in the 1920s and 1930s, appearing in several films and touring Europe and the Americas.
