O.K. Creek was a prominent, historic creek in Kansas City, Missouri that ran right past the old rail yards and railroad tracks (near where Union Station sits today). Before it was eventually diverted into massive underground storm tunnels, O.K. Creek was notorious for heavy flooding and freezing over during bitter Midwest winters.The front photo captures these men standing right along the rough, frozen banks of O.K. Creek during a severe freeze in early January 1910, just days before the card was dropped in the mail.
