1896 EAPG Triple Thumbprint Covered Butter Dish Clear Glass w Gold Trim: $29.00
Maker is unknown to this pattern according to the EAPG pattern index. It’s nice in person though. Very unique. Early American Pattern Glass (EAPG) covered butter dish produced in 1896, known as the Triple Thumbprint pattern. Made in clear pressed glass with gold accents, this piece represents one of the earliest uses of gold coloring applied to American pressed glass, an important transitional decorative technique of the late 19th century. The dish consists of the original matching lid and base, both showing the characteristic triple thumbprint panels and scalloped form typical of the pattern. Gold trim remains present with expected age-related wear. Condition: There are small chips along a couple of the edges of the base, visible on close inspection and shown in photos. No cracks observed. Lid fits properly and displays well. A desirable and historically significant EAPG table piece from the late Victorian era.
