1894 Silvery Voices Calendar Complete Victorian Bird Chromolithograph 4 Panel For Sale

Antique 1894 “Silvery Voices” Calendar featuring beautifully detailed Victorian-era bird and floral illustrations.

This complete calendar consists of four coordinating illustrated panels, each covering three months of 1894. The artwork depicts seasonal songbirds surrounded by flowers, foliage and winter scenery, accompanied by period poetry and decorative typography. Quotations are attributed to T. B. Aldrich, Logan, Owen Meredith and Lewis Morris.

The panels feature scalloped decorative edges and retain portions of the original ribbon hangers/binding. The soft colors and highly detailed bird illustrations are characteristic of late 19th-century chromolithographic calendar and gift art.

A wonderful surviving piece of Victorian paper ephemera, especially desirable because all four panels are present, providing the complete January–December 1894 calendar.

Condition is antique/preowned with expected age-related toning, discoloration, spotting, edge wear, small holes and wear/deterioration to the ribbon attachments. Please review all photographs closely for exact condition. No restoration or cleaning has been attempted.
