This is a remarkably well-preserved piece of Philadelphia history. The "Schuylkill Navy" refers to the oldest amateur athletic governing body in the US, and the artwork on the lid and interior features the iconic Boathouse Row (specifically the Undine Barge Club/Castle Ringstetten style architecture).

Up for sale is a rare, late 19th-century wooden cigar box featureing"Schuylkill Navy Bouquet". This box is a fantastic piece of Philadelphia (PA) history, featuring detailed lithography of the famous Boathouse Row. The "Schuylkill Navy" was founded in 1858, and this box carries a 1892 copyright by Geo. S. Harris & Sons, located in Philadelphia.

The interior lid features a stunning, full-color lithograph of a Victorian-era boathouse with rowers on the Schuylkill River and cyclists on the path—a perfect crossover collectible for Tobacciana, Rowing/Sculling, and Philadelphia history enthusiasts.
