VTG Oklahoma Barite Sand Roses "Cherokee Rose Rock" Joe Timberlake Stine 1978:
$30.49

Joe Timber Stine was a Cherokee geologist who began making sculptures with Oklahoma's state rock, Barite rose. His work became popular enough that he and his wife opened a gallery and sold his work through the 70's and 80's. One of his welded stone and metal sculptures resides in the Smithsonian's National Museum of the American Indian. The large piece of barite makes up the base and has a Dogwood flower attached. The rest of the piece is composed of small barite rosettes, copper rose petal leaves, and metal tubing for the branch. Measures 5"w x 8"h and is free from any condition issues.
