c1910 RPPC Women Huge Edwardian Picture Hats Porch Group Fashion Photo For Sale

The photograph is particularly notable for the women's elaborate Edwardian fashions and exceptionally large picture hats. Several women wear broad-brimmed hats decorated with flowers, ribbons, feathers, and other ornamentation characteristic of women's fashion during the late 1900s and early 1910s.

Approximately twenty people appear in the photograph. Most are women dressed in light-colored blouses, long skirts, and dresses, with several men standing among the group. The setting and arrangement suggest a social gathering, club, workplace, church group, family gathering, or similar occasion, although no identification is provided.

Based on the women's clothing and especially the dramatic wide-brimmed hats, the photograph likely dates to approximately 1908–1912, though a slightly broader c. 1905–1915 range is possible.

The card was acquired in York, Pennsylvania, but there is no inscription or other evidence on the postcard establishing York as the location of the photograph, so the location remains unidentified.

Reverse has an AZO divided-back postcard design with four triangles surrounding the stamp box. The card is unused and unposted.

Good antique condition with age-related wear. Visible corner and edge wear, toning, light soiling/spotting, and scattered surface marks. Photograph has some scratches and small abrasions, particularly in the darker background areas.
