This is a low grade item. It will be complete and readable, but will show significant wear. Allowed defects for this grade include: spine roll, a moderate amount of staining or water damage, writing or other marks on the cover, up to one inch spine splits or other tears, a cover or centerfold that is detached at one staple, discoloration due to oxidation, and a minor piece or pieces missing. An item could be assigned this grade due to either an accumulation of minor/moderate defects or one or two major defects.
Description
Cover by Hank Porter. Stories and art by Floyd Gottfredson, Ted Thwaites, Bob Karp, Ted Osborne, and Al Taliaferro. Sometimes listed as Vol. 1, #3. The long-running vehicle for Disney character comics featured early work by Carl Barks, the legendary Good Duck Artist. In a classic Floyd Gottfredson story from the Mickey Mouse comic strip, Mickey, Donald and Goofy are ghostbusters investigating a haunted mansion. But when Mickey finds a secret passage, he suspects the ghosts are all too human. In another Gottfredson story, Mickey sees the advantage of unruly pet ostrich Oscar when he enters a race. Mickey plays Mr. Fixit for Minnie's house, and causes one accident after another.
