This item was manufactured in New York, USA.
While Hilborn-Hamburger Inc. was a major military contractor and insignia jeweler headquartered at 15 East 26th Street in New York, NY, their supply chain during the mid-20th century worked in two distinct ways:
• The Leather Belts & Small Insignia: Leather uniform elements, belts, and metal uniform ranks/insignia were manufactured in the USA directly by Hilborn-Hamburger or via local domestic subcontractors.
Because your box features the primary domestic Hilborn-Hamburger Inc. New York manufacturing crest, the belt component itself is a completely American-made piece of wartime field gear.
