WWI 1918 US Verner's Pattern Mk VIII Swiss Prism Marching Compass WW1 Working For Sale

1918 dated US Army MKVIII prismatic marching compass made by Cruchon & Emons in Switzerland. This example still has the rubber anti-slip ring on the back, which is usually rotted away. This is not the common mirror compass. This will ship with the travel lock engaged, which happens automatically when you close the lid. Compass dial will point north once the lock is disengaged. Comes with a matching belt pouch. The Modele Depose stamp is just French for registered trademark basically, and is also made by Cruchon & Emons. Case has a name carved into it which appears to be William Harper Knoutt.
