DESCRIPTION

Beautiful vintage West German blown glass Christmas ornament featuring an unusual deeply embossed dimensional design in rich red/pink mercury glass.

The ornament has an elaborate geometric molded surface with a raised floral/starburst motif at the center. Black mica/glitter accents trace portions of the embossed design and create striking contrast against the metallic red finish.

Original metal cap is stamped “WEST GERMANY.”

Measures approximately 3.25 inches across.

This is a particularly unusual and highly decorative example of vintage West German Christmas glass and would make a wonderful addition to a collection of European, mid-century, or antique-style Christmas ornaments.

Vintage condition with age-related wear throughout, including areas of paint/silvering loss, surface crazing, scratches and wear/loss to the black mica decoration. These signs of age are visible in the photographs and contribute to its authentic vintage character. Please review all photos carefully as they are part of the description.
