Format: Vintage Middle Eastern/North African Still Life Velvet Painting
Subject: Traditional Arabic artifacts (Jambiya/Koummya dagger, Dallah coffee pot, etched metal urns, and jewelry) set against a desert backdrop with a camel caravan silhouette.
Medium: Oil or acrylic on black velvet fabric
Dimensions: 31" x 23" (including frame)
Era: c. 1970s–1980s
Condition & Framing Notes: * Art Medium: The painted velvet retains excellent vibrant colors and rich texture. There is a small, minor blemish/residue spot on the fabric near the base of the central urn (see detail photos), typical of age.
Framing & Reverse: The piece is housed in its original vintage presentation. The velvet wrap is secured into the wooden frame using traditional, hand-driven brad nails rather than modern automated staples or point-drivers.
Backing: The original paper/plastic dust-cover backing tape has dried out and separated along the edges over time (as pictured), but the backing board and structural alignment remain fully sound and secure.
