Up for sale is a beautiful vintage Gonset G-14 Citizens Communicator from the dawn of the consumer CB radio era. This historic unit features its original, heavy-duty beige ceramic handheld microphone with a coiled cord and proudly represents mid-century American radio engineering.
Cosmetic Condition: An exceptional aesthetic survivor with fantastic vintage character. The cabinet casing shows expected light oxidation, paint speckling, and minor shelf wear consistent with its 1960s age. The front faceplate graphics are incredibly crisp and fully legible. Crucially, the front control interface retains both of its original, round fluted factory knobs for the Squelch and Volume controls. On the rear panel, the top-right corner features an open, empty threaded hole; this is the factory under-dash mounting bracket anchor point, and the original vehicle mounting bolt is no longer present. The original ceramic hand microphone is physically intact with good coil cord flexibility.
Tested Status: Untested. This is a classic vacuum tube unit utilizing a proprietary multi-pin power receptacle on the rear panel. Because I do not possess the matching factory AC or DC power cord, the unit has not been powered on or electronically evaluated. Internal components are completely intact. Sold as a prime candidate for vintage ham/CB collectors, radio restoration, or retro display.
