Vintage advertising mirror for Walter J. Hood Co., Investment Securities, Portland, Maine.

The reverse carries the wonderful advertising slogan:

“Turn This Over and Meet a Friend of Ours”

Made by Newton Mfg. Co., Newton, Iowa.

Small rectangular mirror with metal edging and an integrated folding wire stand, allowing it to be displayed upright on a dresser, desk or counter.

Measures approximately 4 inches overall, with the mirror approximately 3.5 inches tall.

Original vintage condition with expected age-related wear, oxidation and discoloration to the metal components and advertising back. Mirror shows age-related spotting and deterioration around portions of the edges, as photographed. Advertising remains clearly legible and the folding stand is present.

An unusual piece of vintage Portland Maine, investment/securities, financial, banking and regional advertising memorabilia.
