Vintage Victoria Silverplate Wine Trolley Wagon / Condinment Server.
The caddy is marked in the bottom \"Victoria\" (see photos). Made by Victoria brand from Argentina, a prominent mid-20th-century silver manufacturer based in Buenos Aires. The bottom of the coaster bowls are lined with a turned wood base. In traditional English Old Sheffield plate, this was done to absorb moisture from cold bottles and lower the center of gravity so the wagon wouldn\'t tip. High-quality silver-plated brass or alpaca metal construction was typical of vintage Argentine barware from the 1950s to the 1970s.
Something about the wheels makes them (the wheels) a little wobbly, not really overly aligned, which also makes the two bowls attached a little uneven or unalighned. You can see it in a few photos I took to show that. However the caddy stands pretty good on all four wheels and doesnt fall or anything like that. It does have some peeled plating to the wheels and oxidation or patina to some parts of it. Each caddy measures approximately 3 inches in diameter at the opening and each is about inches deep. The whole caddy with the handle measures approximately 12 inches long.
Please see photos for details. Thanks for looking!
