Vintage Star Candy 5 Cent Coin Operated Vending Machine 1940-50's AUTHENTIC:
$475.00

This is an AUTHENTIC Star 5 cent Candy Bar, Coin Operated Vending Machine!
You won't find one better, I know this because I've been collecting and selling them for over 30 years!
The beautiful STAR 5 Cent Delicious Candy Machine was a simple wall mounted machine found in many laundry mats, gas stations, hardware stores etc., starting in the 1940's and continuing on through the late 1960's and some to the early 1970's.
This machine was manufactured in Los Angeles CA.
Mounted in a place of choice and stocked with various popular candy bars. A wrapper, of the selected brand, was then placed in the viewing window.
I've had many of these beautiful machines and it is common to find multiple candy bar wrappers behind the acetate window.
The machine listed here features an rare, authentic, highly collectible, 'Mr. Goodbar' wrapper from the late 40's to early 50's, the early era of these machines.
It's like going back 70 years, taking it off the wall and bringing it home.
This machine comes with a key to open up the front, allowing full access to the coin operation section and the load candy bars, if so desired.
(Steps of operation can be found on the internet in a Google Search)
This is one of two from my personal collection. I've sold over 30 machines, and this was one of my best! I am selling it now, downsizing my collections.... only keeping ONE of these great pieces of History!
I have a lot of items I've collected from the 40-70's, over my lifetime, and these candy machines are always a hit with visitors!
Approx 19' high x 6' wide x 4' deep- weight approx. 8 lbs.
Warning: Unfortunately, there are reproductions of these beautiful, highly collectible, wonderfully nostalgic vending machines being sold these days.
Often the seller claims, "No Key available" in item description. This is sometimes true but can also prevent a verification to the presence of the internal coin collector or parts that prove manufactured operational authenticity.
Without a key to inspect the machine internally, it is virtually impossible to verify these Star 5 Cent Candy Bar Vending Machines as a REAL AUTHENTIC VENDING MACHINE.
Vintage Candy wrappers, on display in the 'view window' that appear, "too clean" can also be an indication of a reproduction.
