Vintage Soviet ZNG-1 Leningrad Table Gas Lighter USSR 1975 Engraved Retro For Sale

This is a collectible Soviet-era desk/table lighter with a dark brown body, gold-tone metal top section, and a personal engraved inscription in Russian. The engraving is dated 26.04.1975, which makes this exact piece a nice dated Soviet collectible.

The inscription roughly translates as:

“To friend Gennady on his 18th birthday from Gena, Sergey and Oleg. 26.04.1975.”

The lighter produces a spark. It is currently empty and has not been tested with gas/fuel, so full working condition is not guaranteed. It may require refilling, cleaning, adjustment, or service before use.

A very atmospheric vintage Soviet desk accessory with authentic age, patina, and personal history. Great for collectors of Soviet items, vintage lighters, tobacciana, desk accessories, and USSR memorabilia.

Please carefully review all photos, as they are part of the description.

Condition

Vintage used condition with visible signs of age and wear.

The lighter produces a spark, but it is empty and has not been tested with gas/fuel. Full functionality with fuel is not guaranteed.

There are scratches, scuffs, patina, oxidation, discoloration, small spots, and general age-related wear throughout. The gold-tone metal top section has visible wear, oxidation, and surface marks. The dark brown body also shows scratches, scuffs, spots, and signs of age.

There is also a small issue with the lower/side cover area: it does not sit perfectly tight/flush. When the lighter is standing on a table, this is not very noticeable, but it is mentioned for accuracy.

Sold empty, without gas/fuel, as a vintage collectible item. May need service or adjustment before use.
