Please review the detailed photos for exact cosmetic condition.Condition / filling system:
The metal Touchdown plunger tube is present and extends and retracts. The green rear blind/end cap that normally attaches to the end of the plunger is missing. The filling system has not been restored or tested with ink. The pen is being offered exactly as found and shown. An interesting bit of history: the pen was found with the November 11, 1950 newspaper shown in the photographs, remarkably close to the period in which this model was produced. The newspaper is being used as the photographic background and is not included with the pen.A very attractive early Sheaffer Touchdown for a collector, restoration project, or someone who already has access to the correct replacement blind cap.Pen pictured is the exact pen you will receive.
