Original vintage Rome Automobile Company dealership license-plate frame from Rome, Georgia.

Rome Automobile Company was a longtime Georgia automobile dealership operating by at least the late 1930s. Historical advertisements show that it sold and serviced Hudson automobiles during the 1940s, and it later became an authorized Volkswagen dealership by the early 1960s.

This is an original vintage cast-metal dealership frame—not a modern reproduction. It is marked “ROME AUTOMOBILE CO” across the top and retains much of its blue-painted recessed background.

The frame remains solid and displays well. It has oxidation, fading, scratches, paint loss and other age-related wear from previous use. Please review the front and back photographs carefully for the exact condition.
