This is a vintage Arpillera, a traditional South American textile artwork. It depicts a rural harvest scene with colorful fabrics and three-dimensional figures, giving the piece a warm, handmade character. The inscription reads “COSECHA DE … (Harvest of …),” though the exact crop is unclear, and it likely represents a symbolic harvest or a local agricultural product.

Arpilleras originated in Chile during the 1970s as a form of resistance art, carrying social and political messages. Later, the tradition spread to Peru and Bolivia, where it evolved into vibrant folk art depicting rural life, markets, and festivals.
