Vintage Mid-Century Colonial-Style Pewter Reproduction Tankard Mugs (Pair) For Sale

• Style & Form: This is a matching pair of tulip- or bell-shaped beer steins/tankards designed in an Early American colonial revival aesthetic. They feature prominent, ornate scroll handles and stylized stepped pedestal bases.
• Markings: The underside bears a pseudo-hallmark touchmark depicting an \"IR\" initial inside a shield capped by a crown. This mark was used by a 20th-century manufacturer to mimic historic British royal tax verification stamps.
• Manufacturing & Material: The distinct circular lathe lines on the base and the visible vertical seam and textured finish on the interior walls confirm these mugs were factory-cast in a two-part mold and machine-finished on an industrial lathe. They are made of a modern pewter alloy (often aluminum/tin-based).
• Condition: The exteriors show standard vintage surface wear, while the interiors show heavier oxidation, staining, and raw casting texture.
• Usage Safety: Because of the rough, unpolished interior casting and lack of explicit \"Food Safe\" or brand labeling, these items are recommended for decorative display only and should not be used for drinking. The picture shows some dirt I could not get off , just needs some Love
