Vintage Mabie Todd Blackbird BB2/42 Green Marble Fountain Pen 14K Fine/Med Gold Nib

A very attractive vintage Mabie Todd Blackbird BB2/42 Self-Filler fountain pen in green marble, made in England and fitted with its original 14K gold nib.

The BB2/42 is a desirable early Blackbird model, with a green-and-black marbled finish, lever-filling system and classic Mabie Todd styling. Measuring approximately 134 mm capped and around 11.5 mm in diameter, it has a slim but substantial feel in the hand.

The body and cap are in very good vintage condition, with the green marble finish presenting beautifully.

A new ink sac has been fitted, and the lever-filling mechanism has been tested. The pen fills, holds ink and writes perfectly as it should, so it is ready for its next owner to enjoy.
