About the Wood:

Keyaki (Zelkova) is a highly prized, slow-growing Japanese hardwood celebrated for its incredible density, durability, and spectacular visual character. It is famous for its dramatic, highly contrasting growth rings. When carved, these rings form breathtaking, fluid "bullseye" patterns and undulating feather grains that ripple across the surface. Because the wood is exceptionally strong, artisans are able to carve these signature, thin "wave" rims that follow the natural, organic contour of the grain without warping over time.

This heirloom-quality set includes one large master serving bowl and four matching individual side bowls.
