Vintage MCM Ballerina Harlequin Gravel Art Wall Plaques Pair 1960s Pebble Mosaic For Sale

Authentic Mid-Century Modern Retro Pebble Mosaic • Stylized Ballet Dancers

Up for sale or purchase is a phenomenal, highly sought-after matching pair of authentic 1960s mid-century modern (MCM) gravel and pebble art mosaic plaques. This true retro set features a beautifully stylized female ballerina and a male harlequin dancer captured in dramatic mid-leap choreography.

• Textured Media Mixture: Incredibly detailed craftwork using crushed colored stone gravel, gold metallic piping/cording for body outlines, and coiled twine for the dancers\' hair.
• Dimensional Accents: The costumes are heavily embellished with multi-dimensional details including bright red cabochons and small square glass mirrors that catch the light beautifully.
• Premium Walnut Finish: Both mosaics are set against long, beautifully grained, tapered wood panels that look stunning in atomic, kitsch, or tiki-inspired home galleries.

This pair is in excellent structural vintage condition with brilliant color retention.

• The gravel stones are exceptionally well-adhered with almost zero missing pieces. All cording, twine, and mirrors remain completely intact.
• The original wire loop hangers are firmly fixed to the backboards, making them ready to display immediately.
• Vintage Wear Note: The wood panels show typical light edge wear from age. Most notably, there is a small chip to the wood veneer on the bottom-right corner edge of the ballerina panel (fully documented in close-up photos). This does not detract from the gorgeous front presentation of the artwork.

Sizing & Inspection: Each plaque stands roughly 18-20 inches tall. Please consult the listing photographs against the grid ruler background for exact dimensions and scaling.

Vintage gravel art requires deliberate care when shipping to prevent shifting. We secure the face of each plaque with protective wrap to keep the stone layer stabilized, isolate the panels from rubbing against one another, and shield the set in multiple layers of heavy-duty bubble cushioning within a rigid box.
