This bowl is a beautiful example of Yoshidaya-style Kutani ware (吉田屋風九谷焼), likely dating from the mid-to-late 20th century.

Design Analysis:

The Yoshidaya Palette: The bowl uses the distinct palette popularized by the 19th-century Yoshidaya kiln, which deliberately excluded red enamel. Instead, it relies heavily on vivid yellow, green, aubergine/brown, and deep blue glazes painted inside dark, strong black outlines.

Landscape Motif: The scene depicts a classic East Asian landscape featuring a pavilion, stylized pine trees, and a distant figure, rendered with the bold, painterly application characteristic of the revival period.

The Border (Aote Style): The yellow background glaze running all the way to the rim, accented with repeating geometric scroll patterns, matches the "Aote" (green/colored Kutani) approach where the white porcelain surface is completely covered or framed by intense glaze colors.

Age and Context: While the design is a faithful homage to 19th-century antiques, the clean, bright white body visible on the underside, the uniform shape of the fluted edges, and the modern protective felt pads on the foot rim suggest this is a high-quality 20th-century vintage production rather than a 19th-century original. It was likely crafted mid-century or later for the domestic or export art market, celebrating classical regional styles.

The mark features the Chinese character 福 (fuku, meaning "fortune" or "blessing") inside a square, a common apotropaic or hallmark style found on both authentic older Ko-Kutani pieces from the Edo period and later revival or Kutani-style decorative ceramics.
