The large lidded box measures approximately 12 inches across and has a warm red lacquered exterior contrasted with a dark interior. Multiple three-leaf aoi crests decorate the lid.

The aoi mon is the famous three-leaf crest associated with the Tokugawa family of Japan.

A beautiful display piece for a Japanese decor collection, bookshelf, coffee table or curated vintage interior.
