Vintage Japanese Kano Tanyu Gold Leaf Bamboo Forest Tiger Decorated Silk Screen For Sale

This is a beautiful Japanese miniature folding screen (mini-byobu) depicting a famous tiger painting (Gunko-zu/ water-drinking tiger) attributed to the Edo-period master Kanō Tan\'yū from Kyoto\'s Nanzen0ji temple. Nanzen-ji (Kyoto) inspired this historic screen art with a crouching tiger near flowing water and plants against a gold-leaf background. This is a two-panel miniature table screen (byobu) with decorative patterned textile borders and protective metal corner hardware. It comes packaged in a presentation box labeled in Japanese (Famous Painting Screen), which are hard to come by. I currently cannot find any that are selling with the presentation box.

Used, vintage, antique, previously owned, displayed, and such items, are not new or mint condition. They will show signs of wear. It is impossible to describe every tiny detail of every item. If there is a major damage or wear or repair, I will reveal it in the description, in either the images or the wording. But if I don\'t notice a detail, it is not intentional. I describe my items honestly. Photographs are part of the description just as much as the words, therefore looking at the photographs, I might not write in words what I have already
shown clearly in the photographs.

The buyer must return the product within 30 days of receiving the product for a full refund of the purchase price of the product. The item must be returned in the exact condition it was shipped in.
