Vintage Japanese Arita porcelain serving bowl in classic Imari / Ko-Imari revival style. Marked on the base in underglaze blue: 日肥其泉 昭和年製 (Japan Hizen Kisen, made in the Showa era).
Kisen (其泉) is an Arita house brand associated with Shooffero Honten. This is later Showa production (most likely 1970s–1980s), not Edo or Meiji antique ware.
Rich kinrande decoration:
• Interior: gilt ground with iron-red peonies and chrysanthemums, cobalt and green leaves, green quatrefoil floral reserves
• Center: large iron-red flower with gilt details on a white medallion
• Rim: cobalt blue geometric border with white floral motifs and gilt edge
• Exterior: white porcelain with maroon cartouches, gold and green scrollwork, gilt rim
Measurements: 8 inches diameter x 4 inches tall.
Condition: Excellent vintage. No chips, cracks, or repairs. Gilding is strong. Light soiling/wear on the unglazed footring (typical). One tiny speck in the interior floral painting. Glossy glaze throughout.
Ideal as a display bowl, fruit bowl, or Asian-decor accent. Packed with care.
