Beautiful vintage Limoges porcelain trinket box, decorated by hand with colourful floral sprays, rich cobalt-blue panels and gilt detailing.The box is fitted with an ornate gilt-metal mount, hinged lid and decorative front clasp. The underside is inscribed “Peint Main Limoges,” meaning hand painted in Limoges, together with what appears to be a decorator’s or pattern reference.Accompanied by four matching miniature clear glass perfume or scent bottles. Each bottle has a textured gilt-coloured screw cap and internal applicator wand. The bottles complement the box beautifully, although I cannot confirm that they were originally manufactured or sold together.A charming decorative vanity set and an attractive addition to a collection of Limoges porcelain, miniature perfume bottles or vintage dressing-table accessories.Condition:
Very good vintage condition overall. The porcelain displays beautifully, with light age-related wear to the gilt and metal fittings. There is some old label residue and minor marking underneath the box. The miniature bottles also show light surface wear consistent with age.
