Vintage Hand Embroidered Kantha Quilt Floral India Bangladesh 82x72 For Sale

Beautiful vintage handmade embroidered textile/quilt measuring approximately 82" x 72".

I was told this piece was handmade by an Indian woman from Bangladesh in 90s. That is the information I was given regarding its history, and I do not have any additional information about the maker or exact origin.

Features extensive hand embroidery with large roses, leaves, vines, geometric sections and decorative borders in red, green, blue and purple on a light-colored fabric.

The entire piece has a wonderful hand-stitched appearance with variations in the stitching consistent with handmade work.

CONDITION:

• Light staining/discoloration is present throughout in various areas.

• I have not attempted to clean or treat the stains.

• I do not know whether the staining will come out.

• Shows normal variations, wrinkles and signs of age associated with a handmade vintage textile.
