Vintage Hand-Carved Alabaster Stone Banana Figurine For Sale

This is a charming vintage hand-carved stone banana figurine, likely crafted from Italian alabaster or marble. It features a realistic curved shape with a polished, glossy finish that highlights the natural stone veining. The coloring transition from a vibrant yellow body to a subtle green stem mimic the natural ripening of a real banana, a hallmark of mid-century stone fruit collectibles. These pieces were highly popular in the mid-20th century as kitchen or dining room decor, often displayed in a bowl with other stone fruits. The weight and cold feel of the stone indicate genuine material rather than resin. It is a wonderful piece for collectors of vintage fruit decor, kitschy kitchenware, or mid-century modern accessories.
