Vintage 1950s American paper pulp Jack-O-Lantern referred to as choir boy or crazy face style pumpkin. Pumpkin is constructed from heavy molded paper pulp, a thick, fibrous papier mache technique similar in texture to a modern egg carton. The pumpkin\'s face is expressive featuring large eyes, a small molded nose, and a wide choir boy style vocalizing mouth. The piece is finished with a classic bright orange surface wash that has worn over time and creates a great vintage look.
