Hallmark Christmas Snowman Keepsake Ornament Marjolein Bastin w/Box 1996

The noted Dutch nature artist, Marjolein Bastin, Richard is building her first snowman when she was very young.

I remember really big snowballs for the body of the snowman, starting with a small one, and rolling on and on through the garden until it was so big I couldn’t roll it anymore. And how difficult it where is the place the third ball, his head on top… finally she added some pieces of black charcoal for buttons and eyes, a big carrot for the nose, and one of her fathers old hats.

Wow I proud! I had created something very beautiful that wasn’t even there one hour ago — just from that pure white snow!
