Vintage Gillette 195 Fatboy Adjustable Safety Razor Case Platinum Chrome Blades
Vintage Gillette 195 Adjustable double-edge safety razor, commonly known among collectors as the “Fatboy,” complete with its original plastic presentation case and an assortment of vintage Gillette Platinum Chrome razor blades.
The Gillette 195 Adjustable was produced from 1958 into early 1962. It features the desirable short, thick knurled handle, twist-to-open butterfly head, and numbered adjustment dial that allows the user to change the blade exposure.
The razor is stored in its original fitted case with a clear hinged lid and cream-colored ribbed interior. Raised lettering inside reads:

The exact number and packaging condition of the blades are shown in the photographs. The blades are vintage old stock and are included primarily for collection and display. Their present sharpness, cleanliness, sterility, and suitability for shaving are not guaranteed.
DATE CODE:
Gillette stamped a letter-and-number date code beneath the razor head identifying the exact year and production quarter. That code has not been confirmed from the available photographs, so no exact production quarter is represented. Based on the model and case, the set dates from approximately 1958–1962.
Preowned vintage condition with substantial wear from age, storage, and previous use. The razor has scratches, scuffs, dulling, tarnish, discoloration, spotting, residue, oxidation, and areas of green verdigris or corrosion, particularly near the head and adjustment mechanism.
The razor has not been cleaned, sanitized, restored, or fully mechanically tested. The twist-to-open mechanism, adjustment settings, blade alignment, and suitability for shaving are not guaranteed. It should be thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, inspected, and serviced before any attempt at personal use.
The original case has scratches, scuffs, cloudiness, yellowing, staining, accumulated dirt, surface wear, edge wear, and possible small stress marks or cracks from age. The interior insert is stained and discolored. The clear lid remains attached as shown.
The vintage blade wrappers and blades have spotting, tarnish, oxidation, staining, residue, and other storage wear. They are not represented as sterile or safe for use.
