Beautiful matching-style pair of vintage French-inspired bisque porcelain sculptures featuring two elegantly seated women, each accompanied by a charming winged cherub. These lovely figures represent two timeless romantic themes: Love Is Blind and Whispers of Love. One sculpture depicts a cherub playfully covering a seated woman\'s eyes, symbolizing the familiar expression that love is blind. Its companion portrays a cherub leaning close to whisper into a seated woman\'s ear, creating a delicate scene of affection and romance. Both sculptures feature a wonderfully soft, matte porcelain surface with subtle, natural-looking coloration and carefully executed painted details.Unlike heavily glazed porcelain, these pieces have a smooth, almost silky finish that gives them an understated and elegant appearance.Their classical poses, flowing garments, and expressive figures make them particularly attractive for collectors of French-style decorative porcelain, romantic figurines, classical sculpture, and vintage bisque porcelain.CONDITION
Vintage pre-owned condition.
The porcelain retains its beautiful matte appearance and delicate painted decoration.Important: One cherub on the Love Is Blind sculpture has a missing wing. This damage is reflected in the listing condition and should be carefully reviewed in the photographs. Please examine all photographs for the complete cosmetic condition, surface details, and any additional signs of age or wear.COLLECTOR APPEAL
An attractive companion pair for collectors of bisque porcelain, classical romantic art, Victorian-inspired decor, angel and cherub figurines, and European-style decorative sculpture. These figures would make a lovely display on a mantel, in a curio cabinet, or as part of an antique and vintage porcelain collection.SHIPPING & PACKAGING
