Vintage Folk Art Ceramic Spongeware PUMPKIN Pie Dish Fall Thanksgiving Halloween For Sale

Vintage Spongeware Ceramic Pumpkin Pie Plate

Up for sale is a beautiful vintage American country-style ceramic pie plate. Measuring about 9.5” in diameter. This pie dish features a completely smooth, round rim (non-fluted) beautifully decorated with a classic orange, brown and dark green spongeware design. The center showcases a charming hand-painted folk art pumpkin sitting in grass. Framed by an inner geometric diamond, spongeware border accent in deep forest green and brown colors. The interior basin features a very subtle, soft light blue color wash that makes the orange center pop beautifully. This dish is a classic example of late 20th-century, hand-decorated craftmanship. The back is completely unmarked. The base clay was white bisque. Fabulous pre-owned vintage condition. Glossy finish with absolutely no chips or cracks. Ready to use for seasonal autumn baking or to display on a kitchen hutch for Halloween, Fall and/or Thanksgiving decor. I personally never used it for baking.
