Beautiful vintage traditional German wooden Christmas pyramid from the Erzgebirge (Ore Mountains) region of Germany. This charming design is known as \"Angel Concert in the Cathedral\" or \"Pipes of Praise.\"

Made in the former German Democratic Republic (East Germany), this authentic German folk art piece retains its original Expertic sticker on the underside.

Measuring approximately 9\" tall, this candle-powered Christmas pyramid features a beautiful arched cathedral-inspired wooden structure, a central arrangement of organ pipes, and delicately painted angel musicians gathered around the base.

Powered by candles, not electricity, the rising heat from the candles causes the wooden propeller at the top to spin, creating the traditional rotating display associated with Erzgebirge Christmas pyramids.

Condition:

This vintage pyramid shows considerable wear, damage, and evidence of previous repairs. Several areas appear to have been glued, many of the angels\' wings are broken off, and there are additional breaks and imperfections throughout. Some candle wax residue is also present.

Despite these imperfections, the pyramid still spins beautifully!
