Vintage Detroit Tigers Briggs Stadium Seats, pair of seats, attached, with authentic Cast Iron & Wood
These are two authentic, game-used stadium seats from the Detroit Tigers\' historic Briggs Navin Stadium. They are completely original and unrestored, featuring a cast iron and wood design. This special pair includes seats number 22 and 21.
The seats are a fantastic collectible from a legendary sports venue that once hosted greats like Ty Cobb, Al Kaline, LouLou Whitaker, and Alan Trammell.
According to MLB.com, the classic Green Wooden Seats could be from 88 to 114 years old. The original stadium layout opened in 1912 as Navin Field. Wooden slats and foldable green metal box seats were used all the way through the Briggs Stadium era until 1977.
Having been stored carefully in a basement for over 40 years, these seats were never exposed to the weather. The collector is in Sterling Heights, MI. Single owner (besides the City of Detroit, which owned the stadium structure and its fixtures, including the seats, after purchasing the facility in 1977).
Ships in a 65” x 52” x 35” box with seats folded, and styrofoam inserts for safety and integrity, via UPS Ground Save.
