Up for sale is a heavy-duty vintage industrial "explosion proof" / vapor-tight glass globe, the type used on factory, refinery, and hazardous-location lighting fixtures where a spark could ignite fumes or dust.

• Glass globe: Thick, clear pressed glass, embossed "CROUSE-HINDS VDB3" along with "MADE IN USA" and a small diamond-shaped maker's mark. The VDB3 is one of Crouse-Hinds' classic round explosion-proof pendant globes.
• Guard ring: Cast metal threaded retaining ring stamped "KILLARK," model VFC-200, and UL-style certification marks. Killark (now part of Hubbell) is another major, long-established manufacturer of explosion-proof lighting components.

This is a mixed-parts assembly — the globe and guard ring are from two different (but era-appropriate) manufacturers, which is extremely common with salvaged industrial lighting, since these threaded components were often swapped or replaced during decades of service.
