About CloisonnéCloisonné is a decorative enamel technique in which thin metal wires form small compartments, or “cloisons,” that are filled with colored enamel. The object is then fired and polished to create the vivid, detailed surface seen on these ducks. Chinese cloisonné has long been prized for its colorful designs, intricate craftsmanship, and decorative appeal. These appear to be vintage decorative export pieces rather than antique imperial-era cloisonné.DetailsType: Pair of cloisonné duck figurinesOrigin: ChinaMark: “Made in China” label presentMaterial: Enameled metal/cloisonné with brass-tone wirework and metal accentsBases: Dark wood basesColor: Multicolor enamel with gold-tone detailsHeight: Approx. 5 inches each, including basesQuantity: 2 ducks; sold as a pairStyle: Chinese, Asian, chinoiserie, vintage decorative artCondition: Pre-owned vintage condition; minor wear consistent with age and display.
