Description: Rectangular black Chinese calligraphy ink stick featuringintricate gold-colored artwork depicting a traditional Chinese figure, trees,and Chinese characters. The decorative presentation includes a patternedblue-and-white inner border and a brown-and-gold outer box with Chineselettering.

Traditional Chinese ink sticks are used for calligraphy and brush painting.They are rubbed against an inkstone with water to produce liquid black ink.
