Vintage 1979 San Francisco Golden Gate Expo Metal Tray Continental Can Co Sign:
$13.49

This authentic vintage 1979 promotional lithographed metal advertising tray was produced for the Continental Can Company in celebration of the Golden Gate Food Processors International Exposition in San Francisco, California.
An excellent example of late mid-century commercial premiums, this 11.5-inch round tray displays a full-bleed, high-density colorful lithographed collage celebrating the rich architectural and cultural history of the City by the Bay. The design masterfully balances prominent municipal landmarks alongside historical vignettes.
Featured Illustrations:• Golden Gate Bridge, Coit Tower, Transamerica Pyramid, and a classic San Francisco Cable Car.• A California Gold Rush era miner, a western pioneer woman, and a majestic square-rigged merchant sailing vessel.
Fabrication:Stamped heavy-gauge sheet tinplate with an enamel-coated graphic face, a gold-toned rolled perimeter safety rim, and a solid industrial protective reverse coat.
Measurement:• Diameter: 11.5 inches
Condition:Very good vintage condition. The central lithographic artwork remains bright, glossy, and exceptionally well-preserved with excellent color depth. Shows minor, age-appropriate enamel flecking and light oxidation points localized strictly along the gold-toned rolled edge rim, along with minor superficial scuffing on the reverse face consistent with historical storage and handling.
