Vintage 1950s Red Hackle De Luxe 25 Yr Scotch Stoneware Jug 9\" Orig Stopper For Sale

Vintage Red Hackle De Luxe 25 Years Old Blended Scotch Whisky stoneware flagon/jug, produced for Hepburn & Ross, Glasgow, Scotland.This approximately 9-inch-tall two-tone glazed stoneware jug is believed to date to circa the 1950s. Red Hackle 25 Year Old was imported into the United States during this period in stone flagons such as this example.A particularly nice feature is the original ceramic ball-topped stopper, which is missing from many surviving examples. The original cork remains attached but has dried, cracked and partially broken with age. It has been left in its original condition rather than replaced.The jug also retains its vintage Illinois liquor revenue/tax stamp on the shoulder as well as a surviving Imported Brands Inc., New York distributor label. The base is clearly marked:
