Description:

Vintage McCoy Pottery Dutch Boy cookie jar dating to approximately the 1940s.

This classic McCoy piece features a rounded white pottery body with small side handles, a colorful raised Dutch Boy scene on the front, floral decoration, red trim and the original matching lid.

The jar measures approximately:

• 7” tall with lid

• 8” diameter

This example definitely shows its age and is being offered as a display/collector piece. There is a visible crack running from the base area into the interior of the jar. The crack has been photographed closely so buyers can see its extent. There is also extensive crazing to the glaze along with noticeable loss and wear to the original painted decoration.

Despite the condition issues, it remains an attractive piece of vintage McCoy pottery with lots of character and would make a nice addition to a McCoy, cookie jar, American pottery or vintage kitchen collection.

Please review all photos carefully as they are an important part of the condition description.
