Vintage 1920s Sta-Rite Gold Filled Mechanical Pencil Chevron Pattern WORKS GREAT For Sale

Up for sale is a beautiful, highly collectible vintage 1920s Sta-Rite mechanical pencil. This piece features a striking engine-turned chevron (herringbone) design engraved along the entire length of the gold-filled barrel, perfectly capturing the classic Art Deco aesthetic of the era.

The upper barrel is elegantly stamped with the original "Sta-Rite" script brand name.

Condition & Functionality:

• Fully Working Mechanism: Unlike many pencils from this era that are frozen or jammed, the internal twist mechanism on this pencil works perfectly. It smoothly propels and repels the lead exactly as it should when twisted.

• Lead Included: The pencil still houses a vintage piece of lead inside. Please note that these early models typically utilize thick 1.1 mm (0.046 inch) replacement lead.

• Components: Comes complete with its original removable gold-finished crown cap/cap top and the original aged internal eraser plug as shown in the photos.

• Cosmetics: Shows a gorgeous, authentic vintage patina. There is minor surface wear consistent with age, but no major dents or deep brassing.

Please review the detailed macro photos to evaluate the exact cosmetic condition. This is a fantastic, fully functional addition to any vintage writing instrument or pen/pencil collection!

Shipping & Handling:

• Packaged securely to protect the vintage mechanism during transit.
