Vintage 1908 Orizaba Mexico Postcard Mexican Railway El Buen Tono Cigar Ad

Here is a topographical postcard showing a sprawling vista in Orizaba, Mexico, right along the Mexican Railway. For some reason, the postal worker handling this piece decided the absolute best place to hammer down the cancellation stamp was dead center on the front of the beautiful view. It definitely gives the item some unique character. Aunt Mary mailed this one to New York on March 6, 1908, noting that they were sightseeing night and day in the land of ruins.

The card is posted and shows standard signs of a century of life. You will see some typical edge wear, minor corner rounding, and of course, that prominent front cancellation, but the colors and architectural details remain striking.

As an authentic vintage piece, this item may show typical signs of age, which can include minor edge wear, soft or bumped corners, slight yellowing, and light surface blemishes. Please carefully examine all provided high-resolution photos for the most accurate and definitive representation of the item\'s condition prior to purchasing. Trivia Corner

If you look closely at the yellow building on the left side of the tracks, you will spot a painted advertisement for Cigarros de El Buen Tono S.A. El Buen Tono was an absolute juggernaut in the Mexican tobacco industry during the early twentieth century, making this a fantastic crossover piece for advertising collectors.
