Up for sale is a stunning, highly detailed vintage Chinese lacquerware display plate featuring an intricate, high-relief carving of the Great Wall of China winding through mountainous terrain.
This is the highly sought-after large 12-inch version, making it a perfect standout statement piece for a gallery wall, mantel, or Chinoiserie decor display.
Key Details:
• Substantial Weight: This is a solid, high-quality vintage piece weighing in at a heavy 2.69 lbs (2 lbs 11 oz). It has a premium, sturdy feel, unlike lightweight modern plastic replicas.
• Intricate Artistry: Features a striking deep brick-red relief set against a finely textured, geometric black-brick patterned sky and background.
• Condition: Excellent vintage condition. The carved relief details are sharp, clean, and free of any major chips or cracks. The rim is completely intact. The smooth black lacquer backing shows only minor, typical shelf wear consistent with age (please review all high-resolution photos for exact condition).
