This is a rare 1896 Utah State Seal SOLID .925 STERLING SILVER belt buckle signed by the designer Lynn R. Christensen and being buckle #39 of only 100 produced. The buckle was made in 1978 by the Heritage Mint, Los Angeles, California, USA. This unique collectible item reflects the western Americana culture, making it a valuable piece for collectors interested in vintage western artifacts. The limited number of 100 pieces adds to its exclusivity, and the provenance of ownership history adds to its historical significance.
NOTES…..The condition is very nice true vintage. It has some darker natural tarnish, as would be expected on a 50 year old sterling silver item. It still looks and works great and it is a fairly HEAVY sterling silver buckle, weighing 120 grams or 4.25 ounces on our scale. It measures 3 1/8” x 2 3/8” and fits belts up to 1 1/2” wide.
