VTG NIB Leonore Doskow 14K SOLID GOLD Blank Round Sewing Buttons Set of 7 Box For Sale

This set is verified as solid 14K Gold it is significantly more valuable and estimated to be worth between $1,200-$3,000This set was given to me by my aunt who purchased these decades ago in NYC from Leonore Doskow studio/store. They have never been used and I have only removed them to photograph & check their makers marks and 14K marks. Each button has 14K stamped on the backs. This set is a rare blank set that is perfect for someone looking to engrave their own for a gift or for yourself. When dealing with solid gold vintage pieces from a designer like Leonore Doskow, the value is determined by two main factors:1. Collector & Retail ValueFine designer blazer button sets crafted from precious metals carry a heavy premium. On high-end vintage marketplaces and collector platforms like or Etsy, a rare, authentic solid gold set from a mid-century American modernist silversmith will typically command:• $600 to $800 if they feature personalized engraved monograms.• $1,200+ if they are entirely plain or un-monogrammed, as these are highly adaptable for luxury tailoring.2. Scrap Gold Weight Value (The Baseline) $135.00 per gram (Oct 9 2026)Because they are solid gold, the absolute lowest price your set is worth is its raw weight in gold (\"melt value\").• Solid 14K gold buttons are quite dense. A full 7-piece set - 3 large front jacket buttons and 4 smaller sleeve cuff buttonscan weigh anywhere from 12 to 25 grams depending on their thickness.• Depending on the current daily market price of gold, the pure metal value alone usually accounts for approx$1200 to $3,000 of the total worth.
