Hacienda Real is a Mexican metalware maker based in Guadalajara. The company describes its pieces as handcrafted from high-quality aluminum and other lead-free recycled materials. Its aluminum pieces are produced using handmade sand molds; the mold used for an individual casting is destroyed afterward. This traditional casting process can produce subtle variations that are part of the handcrafted character of the finished piece. Hacienda Real also notes that its aluminum alloy has good temperature-retention properties, making the material practical for serving both hot and cold foods. The combination of durable cast aluminum, polished finish, sculptural decoration, and Mexican craftsmanship gives Hacienda Real serveware appeal both as functional tableware and as collectible decorative metalware. Floral and figural Hacienda Real pieces are found on the secondary market and are sought by buyers assembling coordinating serving collections or looking for statement pieces for entertaining. Keywords
